Care Instruction For Your New Tattoo:
Take the bandage off after 1-2 hours. Upon removal
wash your tattoo (with your hand only) with antibacterial soap and
warm water. Lightly pat dry with a clean soft paper towel.
A tattoo takes about 2 weeks to heal completely.
During the healing time wash your tattoo at least once a day with
antibacterial soap to prevent infection, while you're in the shower
is a great time do do this.
After 48 hours you can
start to apply a small amount of non-scented lotion. Moisture is
needed so the scabs do not crack, which can result in light spots
on the healed tattoo. Use a very small amount of moisturizer. Too
little is better than too much. If any product you choose
causes your skin to sting, become hot or itchy, discontinue use
immediately and wash your tattoo. Allow your skin to breath for
several hours before applying any other product.
Be sure to wash your hands
before and after touching your tattoo for any reason. Always wash
your hands before and after applying moisturizer. Don't let people
touch your tattoo while it’s healing, same goes for pets.
If you work in an environment that will get the
tattoo dirty during the healing process wear loose clothes that
will cover and protect it. Avoid tight clothing of any kind directly
covering or rubbing against your tattoo.
Avoid swimming, soaking in the bath or prolonged
immersion in water. Avoid sunbathing, tanning or overexposure to
the sun or UV rays. Don’t scratch or pick the healing tattoo
or try to shave the tattooed area until it is completely healed.
Once your tattoo is healed keep it looking it’s
best by wearing sunscreen. Good care of your tattoos will increase
their longevity and your enjoyment!
